PROPOSAL OF EDITORIAL
The Saxon towns and municipal day e.V. (SSG) was founded on the 01.04.1990. He is the Association of cities and towns in the free State of Saxony and had the date 01.07.2011 464 member municipalities.

Task of the SSG is:
-the idea of self-government to maintain and to promote the implementation and respect of the law on local self-government. In article 84, para. 2 of the Saxon State Constitution is the Saxon towns and community day as national association a right to be heard when laws or regulations, which affect the municipalities and municipal associations, guaranteed. If compared with the provincial government, the Parliament, the other numerous national organizations, the Saxon cities and municipalities shall, that communal interests are taken into account
-the common rights and interests of its members to promote and they compared to the State and Federal Parliament, the provincial and Federal Government, other associations, agencies and the public to represent;
-the members to advise, to provide them with information and to maintain exchanges of experience;
-to promote understanding of local issues in public.
